This was too good to pass up \u2013 an opportunity not only to promote these five comedians who are his friends but also to poke fun at them\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The reality web concept envisioned by F\u00e9lix aimed to get the group members out of their comfort zone and get them to react spontaneously to various situations (in contrast to their TV show where they control everything, including scripts, costumes, visual effects, and editing). Every day in the morning, the five friends would be taken to a surprise location inspired by a TV reality show, where they would have to overcome a series of wacky challenges.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In fact,\u201d says F\u00e9lix, \u201cI organized a series of contests where fans could see Les Appendices perform without a net and vote for the person who performed best.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<a name='numavideo'><\/a><div class='numa-video-wrapper with-cover'><div class='video-cover-overlay'><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/numa.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/lesappendicessurvideo.jpg?w=1152\" \/><i id='overlay-play' class='overlay-play'><\/i><\/div><iframe id='numavideo' allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' src='http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/165339757?api=1&amp;title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0&amp;color=fa1164&amp;mw=1004&amp;mh=564' frameborder='0'><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The two JFs (Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Chagnon and Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Proven\u00e7al), Dave, Julien, and Dominic found themselves, for example, milking cows at a farm and picking up stinking cowpats in an episode that spoofed a reality TV show that mixes agriculture and the search for love. They also found themselves diving into a pool of stagnant water in a spa in a parody of a very popular and long-running Quebec reality TV show (<a href=\"http:\/\/lesappendices.telequebec.tv\/web-realite\/episodes\/7\/occupation-quintuple\" target=\"_blank\">Occupation quintuple<\/a>). The seven episodes of this reality web series culminated in an awards <a href=\"http:\/\/lesappendices.telequebec.tv\/web-realite\" target=\"_blank\">awards ceremony<\/a> held in an empty venue, where Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Proven\u00e7al received his best performer prize as voted by the fans.<\/p>\n<p>The spa episode is the one they remember best. \u201cAt a certain point,\u201d relates the bearded comedian, \u201cwe were in a sauna with chocolates. The chocolates, of course, began to melt. It was very funny. Resources are available now to make good web projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Proven\u00e7al and F\u00e9lix Tanguay met back when F\u00e9lix was the host of a show for youths called \u201cLes deux pieds dans la marge.\u201d But their friendship really took off when they co-hosted \u201cVR en d\u00e9route\u201d in 2013.
